A Few Words On Grading...

This applies to all assignments in this class, including exams.

  1. Credit can only be awarded for the work assigned.

  2. In general, out of consistency and fairness in the grading process I grade all assignments at the same time.

  3. I do not look at any of the assignments until everyone has turned in their work.

  4. Students can turn in assignments late (up to a week for partial credit unless stated otherwise).

This means that if everyone turns in their work on-time, the turn around for grading will be shortened. Late assignments will delay everyone. Also, as grading is a very time consuming process this usually only happens during "my" weekends, so you should expect grade updates usually at the end of the weekend.

I will try my best to get grades posted quickly. Note however that grading in a fair and consistent manner is my primary concern.

I hope this gives everyone an idea regarding timing issues and turn-around times.
