Tray monitor is software found on company
computers. It is used to track trays. All computers
on site have the ability to view trays with a login.
AMB carry an IPad to utilize this software.
It is a visual representation of where trays are located
and how old they are.
The expo computer should stay in
"view all tray mode" to reap the most benefit
from this software. This mode allows you to provide
help accordingly.
Example scenarios:
You see 20 trays for the 2nd floor AMB.
You have the runner or a cc help deliver trays
because the AMB will 1. fall behind 2. only 12
trays fit into their delivery cart.
The timer goes off for the east
pavilion AMB. You see that the AMB still has
5 trays left to deliver. You call the AMB to
locate what part of the floor they are at and
you send the runner or cc to take the holding
cart to the AMB. This saves time since the AMB
does not have to return to the department.
The runner/cc will return the holding cart to the
kitchen.
Overall, you must be aware of how
long it is taking at each station. It is your responsibility
to provide help where needed. Remember, the
goal is to get the tray to the patient within 45
minutes.
