In-class talks

Plan to talk for 10-15 minutes, and cover at least the following. Feel free to include additional information, if you have time.

• Describe the overall structure of your notebook service implementation (about 3 minutes)
• Describe your solution to keeping secondary copies in synch with the primary copies (3-5 minutes)
• Testing (3-5 minutes)
  • How did you test your notebook service?
  • How did you test the secondary synchronization functionality?
  • Describe any design decisions you made to improve testability.
• Experience questions (3-5 minutes)
  • What surprised you the most about this project?
  • What decision(s) worked the best for you?
  • If you had this project to do over again, what would you do differently?

Integration test

In the lab in week 12, we will do the following:

• teams will take turns providing the directory service
• everyone will run notebook service instances configured to work with that directory service
• we will work our way as far through the scenarios in the test suite as time permits

Security settings

It may reduce hassle if you enable cross-domain data source access. You can reach the dialog below in Internet Explorer via Tools > Internet options > Security tab > Local intranet + Custom level, then scroll down to the Miscellaneous section. When you get there, click "Enable" under "Access data sources across domains"
