How To Get Help Effectively Via E-mail

For me to help you most effectively, without much time consuming mails back and forth, please follow these suggested steps:

IF YOU E-MAIL WITH PROBLEM REPORTS, 
1. Please be sure you *start* your *descriptive* subject line with [674]
2. Provide as much detail as possible.

Unless you have a lot of time to spare you will provide the information below with your initial request for help because your instructor will be unable to help you without it. This mean he will just have to write back asking for this information and then wait for a reply. This may be ok for you if your question isn't urgent.

Much more efficient to just provide the necessary information needed to help you initially to your instructor. Therefore you should always provide:

MINIMALLY: 
1. What you were doing, 
2. What happened, 
3. What specific error message(s) you got (cut-and-paste the message, yes, really),
4. What you have tried to fix this problem on your own.

In other words, if you tell me right away what I must know to help you, the sooner I will be able to help you.
