* Step Three: Install Web-CAT extension
Web-CAT is an advanced automated grading system that can grade students on how well they test their own code. It is implemented a web application with a plug-in-style architecture, and used for the grading of all lab assignments in COMP 111.
To install Web-CAT on BlueJ, find the BlueJ submitter link (http://webcat.franklin.edu/Web-CAT/WebObjects/Web-CAT.woa/wa/assignments/bluej), and righ-click the mouse to save as a file named “submission.defs” in your local BlueJ’s library folder and restart the BlueJ.
For example, if the BlueJ is installed in the directory “C:/Program Files(x86)/BlueJ”, the submission.defs file should be saved to the directory “C:/Program Files(x86)/BlueJ/lib”.
Upon completion of Web-CAT installation, let's move to Getting Started for a simple Java program demo!
* Manual submission
Web-CAT installation is optional, but strongly recommended for automated submission.
In case you don't want to install it, assignment can be compressed to zip file and submitted manually at the Franklin University’s Web-CAT website.
