Final Edited Photograpgh:
Steps Taken to Manipulate the Photograpgh:
I imported both original photograpghs into the Editor, and made a duplicate copy of both pictures.
I started with the Virginia City image and used the Quick Selection Tool to select my husband Larry
(the best that I could). I then chose Cut from the Edit Menu to cut him out of the image, created a new,
transparent blank file, and then pasted Larry's image into it.
With the Circus Casino image active, I used the Quick Selection Tool and selected the rooftop in the lower left corner.
I then chose Adjust Lighting from the Enhance Menu, and dimmed the area. With the selection still active,
I chose Inverse from the Select Menu, chose Adjust Lighting from the Enhance Menu, and brightened the rest
of the picture.
I went back to the Quick Selection Tool, and selected only the sky in the background. I then chose a smaller brush
to make some adjustments (the best that I could do). I went back to the Enhance Menu, chose Adjust Color this time,
and went to the Color Variations choice. I clicked on the Highlights radio button, increased the blue, and darkened it.
I chose the Ellipse shape from the Shape Tool, selected a light-yellow color, and created an image to
represent the sun. (this was not the greatest choice)
Next, I chose the image file of Larry, dragged it into the picture, and then used the Move Tool to position
him in the lower-left corner.
Last, I selected the awnings of the building below Larry, used the Eye Dropper Tool by going to the
Enhance Menu & choosing Adjust Color, and then choosing Replace Color. I repeated these steps to change the
stripes on the circus tent from red to purple (the best I could).
