The ACM-W Student Chapter is affiliated with the international ACM -W organization, which is part of the world's largest computer affiliation, ACM (Association of Computing Machinery).
Our primary goal is to encourage young girls in the Central Ohio community to consider, and pursue, computer science studies. This is accomplished through local sponsorships of exciting computer activities to local Girl Scout troops, middle schools, and high schools.
Our members enjoy numerous activities and events including:
- Networking with peers, faculty, and industry leaders
- Attendance at GREAT computing conferences
- Recognition of affiliation with a national organization
- Access to the chapter social networks
- Social activities
- Mentoring opportunities
- Homework assistance and tutoring
