Proper pitching and throwing mechanics should be stressed from T-ball up. Most bad habits start at an early age and linger throughout their career. Good habits  enable a baseball player to throw harder, with more accuracy, and most importantly to have fewer injuries! Most youth baseball programs emphasize limiting the number of innings pitched in a game and per week.  This is only part of the story. If a child has an elevated pitch count in a particular inning(s)  and possibly in combination with improper mechanics, arm damage can occur as early as 10 years old!

This website attempts to provide information on proper pitching mechanics and care of the upper arm and elbow.
